A fair game for everyone: the rules to follow and what happens if they are broken.

Recent Updates
- Added that Britain (Saturday) and Moonglow (Sunday) are not safe during city wars and that the Safe Zone (Nujel'm) is the only truly PvP-free place.
These rules exist to keep MyShard fair and fun for everyone. Every player who logs in is considered to have read and accepted them; not knowing a rule does not exempt you from penalties. The rules apply in game, on the website, in support tickets and on Discord.
1. Respect and communication
- Be respectful to other players, GMs and staff. Insults, swearing, humiliation and provocation are forbidden.
- Discrimination and hate speech based on race, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation, nationality or political views are forbidden.
- Following, disturbing and harassing a player repeatedly is forbidden.
- Filling chat with meaningless or repeated messages or capital letters (spam, flood) is forbidden.
- Advertising other servers, websites or services is forbidden.
- Sharing players' personal information (real name, address, phone, photos etc.) is forbidden.
2. Character and guild names
Character, guild and mount names may not contain:
- Swearing, insults, sexual or obscene terms
- Political, religious or hateful terms
- Names imitating GMs, staff or the MyShard team (such as GM, Admin, Staff)
- Names meant to impersonate another player
Names that break these rules may be changed without warning.
3. Account security and use
- You are responsible for your account's security. Losses caused by sharing your password or PIN are not restored.
- Sharing, selling, buying and trading accounts is forbidden.
- Playing with more than one account at the same time is forbidden.
- Trying to access another player's account without permission leads to a permanent ban.
- Pretending to be a GM or staff member to ask for passwords, PINs or items is forbidden. Staff will never ask for your password or PIN.
4. Cheats and third-party software
- Connect to the game only with the official MyShard launcher and client.
- Modifying game files, speed hacks, macro programs and any other interference that gives an advantage are forbidden.
- Using tools that monitor or modify network traffic or send fake data to the server is forbidden.
5. Bugs and exploits
- If you find a bug, report it right away instead of using it: Reporting Bugs.
- Players who knowingly use a bug and profit from it lose those gains and face penalties on their account.
- Telling others about exploits or spreading them also counts as exploiting.
6. Trading and scams
- Selling or buying in-game items, gold or characters for real money or for items from another game is forbidden.
- Use the game's trade window for safe trades.
7. PvP, Arena and events
- PvP is part of the game; being attacked outside a safe zone is not a rule violation. During a city war (Britain on Saturday, Moonglow on Sunday) that city is not safe either. The only place that is truly free of PvP is the Safe Zone (Nujel'm).
- Harming players by exploiting safe zones, newbie protection or game mechanics is forbidden.
- In Arena, tournament and ranked matches, selling matches, losing on purpose, arranging results with the other side (win trading) and farming points with other accounts are forbidden.
- Playing matches on someone else's account or on someone's behalf is forbidden.
8. GMs and support
- There is no in-game GM call or GM messaging. All support is provided only through Discord and support tickets.
- GMs are there to keep the game in order; their in-game decisions must be followed.
- If you want to appeal a decision, don't argue in game; open a support ticket.
- Items lost due to a game bug are restored as far as logs and investigation can confirm the loss.
9. Penalties
Depending on how serious a violation is and whether it is repeated, these penalties apply:
| Penalty | Example cases |
|---|---|
| Warning | First-time minor violations: spam, inappropriate language |
| Mute | Repeated insults, spam or provocation |
| Item / gain removal | Bug exploiting, unfair gains, selling matches |
| Temporary ban | Repeated violations, scams |
| Permanent ban | Cheat software, item duplication, account theft, real money trading, serious harassment |
- Serious violations can lead directly to a permanent ban, without a prior warning.
- Creating a new account to avoid a penalty makes the penalty permanent.
- Penalties are appealed through a support ticket.
Finally
The rules are updated when needed; changes are shared on this page and in announcements. Behaviour that isn't explicitly listed here but goes against the spirit of the game and fair play may also be penalised at staff's discretion. If you're not sure about something, ask first.
