Recent Updates
- 6 tiers (Normal–Epic): ability values updated, tiers/mastery section and Normal Dagger recipe added.
The Dagger is the fastest weapon in the game. It strikes in quick succession, multiplies its damage with Shadow Edge stacks and is built to take down a single target fast. It's an assassin's weapon: get in, finish, get out.
The Dagger's abilities are on the cards at the end of the page; hover over one to see its description, mana, range and times. Pick one from each row with Weapon Aweakings.
Ability damage and healing grow with your weapon's tier; the cards list all 6 tiers in order: Normal / Ruin / Might / Force / Power / Epic.
Tiers and mastery
- The Dagger comes in 6 tiers: Normal, Ruin, Might, Force, Power, Epic. Normal has no sub-levels; every tier from Ruin to Epic has sub-levels I–V, which raise ability values by +0% / +10% / +20% / +30% / +40%.
- Your Dagger mastery grows with the experience you earn while wielding it, from level 1 (Normal) to 6 (Epic). A Normal Dagger needs no mastery; equipping Ruin needs level 2, Might 3, Force 4, Power 5 and Epic 6.
- Experience needed for the next level: 5,000 / 22,000 / 68,000 / 185,000 / 500,000.
- Normal Dagger recipe (Blacksmithing): 16 Hide + 8 Log. Higher tiers need 32 Hides + 16 Logs of that tier (e.g. Ruin Hide, Ruin Log) plus 1 Dagger Emerald, and your Blacksmithing mastery must have reached that tier. Catalysts drop from creatures of that tier.
- New characters can pick a Normal weapon from the New Player Gift at the start.
Shadow Edge
- Most Dagger abilities grant a Shadow Edge stack; up to 3 stacks.
- Each stack increases all your damage by 22%.
- Each new stack refreshes the duration to 8 seconds; if you don't gain a stack for 8 seconds, they're all lost.
- Power Blade consumes every stack and deals far more damage the more you have.
Combos
- Fast kill: dash in with Only Forward → reach 3 stacks with Stack Blade → finish with Power Blade.
- Long fight: activate Assassin Spirit; keep up the pressure with Stack Blade and Ripping Belly while stacks build on their own.
- Against healers: Knife Punishment blocks healing completely for 2 seconds; combine it with Power Blade's healing reduction.
Tips
- Use Power Blade at 3 stacks; at 0 stacks it deals only a fraction of its damage.
- You take 10% more damage during Assassin Spirit; use it carefully against tough opponents.
- Your range is 1 tile; save Only Forward for closing in rather than escaping.
Abilities
Carve repeated shadow cuts through an opening in the target's guard, dealing 136 / 154 / 175 / 200 / 230 / 268 magic damage.
Gain one stack of Shadow Edge; each stack increases all damage by 22%, up to 3 stacks.
Unleash the assassin spirit within. Gain one stack of Shadow Edge immediately and every 2 seconds afterwards.
For 15 seconds, your damage rapidly rises but damage taken is increased by 10%.
Recast to end early; stored stacks remain.
Sever the target's spell and life flow with a punishing cut, dealing 152 / 170 / 190 / 213 / 239 / 268 magic damage and interrupting its current cast.
Completely prevent healing for 2 seconds and gain one stack of Shadow Edge.
Leave your shadow behind and dash to the target location with blade-like speed.
After the dash, all damage you deal is increased by 20% for 4 seconds and you gain one stack of Shadow Edge.
Forge your stored shadow blades into a single execution strike. Damage grows with your Shadow Edge stacks:
0 stacks: 58 / 65 / 73 / 82 / 92 / 103
1 stack: 160 / 180 / 202 / 226 / 253 / 283
2 stacks: 366 / 410 / 459 / 514 / 576 / 645
3 stacks: 607 / 680 / 762 / 853 / 955 / 1070 magic damage.
Reduce healing received by 20% for 4 seconds and consume all stacks on impact.
Stop the target with a brief shadow lock and open a deep bleeding wound. Stun for 0.6 seconds and slow by 45% for the bleed's duration.
The wound repeatedly deals 49 / 55 / 62 / 69 / 77 / 86 magic damage; completing the final cut grants one stack of Shadow Edge.
